Client of the Month for January 2017 is Chris Fredes!
Some of you may know this man as he is now, but some of you may not know where he came from. This guy has literally gone through hell and with our work with Chris he pulled through, he’s a totally different man now than he was years ago.
“I have been at 365 Performance for over a year now. Previously, roughly about 3 years ago, I required back surgery as I had a severe L5/S1 bulge which within the space of about 5 months deteriorated to state where intense physiotherapy, acupuncture, swimming, you name it and it didn’t work for me in the long run. Which led me to back surgery. After my surgery I was unable to train for about one year. I put on about 15-20 kilo which led to me the weight of about 115kg. After my year i was able to start to train again, slowly but surely I told myself. But I was at a conventional Gym and in I wasn’t seeing any gains at all. I put this result to myself as I was still scared of going back to hospital which I vowed to myself I am never going back to hospital for my back. So that is when I got in touch with Scott Dillon at 365 Performance and told him about my predicament… It has now been a little bit over a year and I am at my strongest and fittest and I am only getting stronger and fitter.”
That was from Chris back in June, 2014, since then he has continued to grow and develop in his journey. Most recently he should be applauded for his consistency, he set aside some goals an despite having to reduce the amount of training days due to extra studies he is undertaking outside of his full time job, was able to reach out to us to devise a training plan to focus on improvement in the areas he wanted to get better at.
He has been able to add muscle mass and strength in his upper body, improve his gymnastics technique and PR his butterfly pull up + T2B work AND get his first ring muscle up all whilst maintaining his level of cardio fitness. He placed a greater importance on consistency and focus whilst at the gym training 4 days a week when he would normally train 5-6 days and got MORE results, watch out for him once he gets back to being able to train a little more!
We are so proud to see where you have come since starting with us and continue to improve and develop both physically and mentally mate, great to have you as a part of our family.
What do you enjoy most about coming to 365 Performance?
I love coming in and laughing and training along side with everyone. Feeding off their energy or just cheering them on and getting them past that point that we all get to. Even if i’m having a stressful day at work and walk in and am still glum, i know that after 5min, it’s all gone because of the people that come to 365. it doesn’t matter what gym, Chippo or Milpy they are both great places to unwind and slam some bars and gain PRs. #365 #onecommunity
